I've never owned one (but have had 3 Buick LeSabres), but if I had to get a 2001 car, I'd take it ahead of a lot of other cars of the day.

Yeah we'd all love to have a top of the line BMW or Audi, but come on! How about a list of great cars that most of us could afford?

I wouldn't keep the ugly viper or 7 series BMW if ya gave them to me... Just buy the vehicle that best serves your needs and wants that you can afford, and forget about mileage and other stupid things! The oil companies are going to get you one way or another. Forget the "green" organizations who would preach non-drilling forever (and thus presumably wouldn't mind speaking Russian, Chinese, or Arabic in the future.)
