Phil is perhaps "the nicest" golfer on the tour but.... does he have the "killer instinct" ?

It was quite a finish at LA! Phil made a big mistake on the second playoff hole. Hope he will learn when to gamble and when to play safe. But, he has nothing to feel bad about. He has been at the top of the board for two weeks against the young guns. This could be his best year ever!

I am also a left handed golfer so I have a natural affinity with Phil. I admire him and love to see him succeed. I clearly believe that he is the second best golfer in the world. This will be an interesting year as we see the rivalry with Phil and Tiger play out. I wish them both well.

Really not much going through the first two rounds. He needs a big day on Saturday, or it is somebody else's tournament.

Phil's short game saved him yesterday. The local story said that on one hole he hit it so deep into the flowers that it looked like he was on an Easter egg hunt looking for his ball.

If he can straighten things out off the tee, he can climb back into contention.
