It was a road race track more like a Grand Prix track than Indy or NASCAR tracks. It was very exciting, but the Charger was heavy and didn't have the suspension for it. Warren :-)

A day in the pits at Indy. must have been amazing. You are very fortunate. I got onto the actual track at Riverside International Raceway (now a housing area) one time during the off-season through an open back gate. I did a lap in my '68 Dodge Charger R/T, hit 150 on a straightaway and then left in a big hurry. Warren :o)
