congrads for 90 days and new racing stripes. Want to be GB?

by ItisAJeepThing  Apr 13, 2011

Hi, congratulations on posting for 90 consecutive days and earning your "racing stripes". Want to become buddies???

"and the cost will be????" Cheaper than what you think, if you were to do it or had help to do it. I know of three people here in Tampa Bay using water to partially power their vehicles, and there's plenty more doing it here and elsewhere, just not in the millions. It takes time and money, neither of which I have enough of or I'd be doing it once again as well. People have been doing it for decades, mainly via fuel cells, and mainly the government or some of the big corporations, but until Big Oil can get their palms greased a bit more, I doubt we'll see it at-large per se.

Probably restaurant food and maybe grocery store fruits and vegetables

The report on Al Gore leaving an unattended car running for an hour is in-credible, so implausible as to elicit disbelief. Do you REALLY believe Gore would do that? Really?

You wrote: "all fine and dandy if the store(s) are next door and not 2 1/2 miles away at the bottom of a 12% grade with no sidewalk, and if your knees will take the up and downhill strain". Point taken. I'd drive too. And it wouldn't take 2 1/2 miles to discourage me, the 12% grade and no sidewalks would do me in. I don't know if I could even DRIVE a 12% grade. Lousy milage on the way back, eh? You probably get great milage on the way down, though.

You wrote: "and how do you lug home 6 bags of groceries?" You get a cart of some sort. Most all office supply stores (like Staples, Office Max and Office Depot) carry them. Or you could improvise and fashion one of your own from luggage with wheels, or maybe a two wheeled hand truck with 3 milk crates bungee-corded to it.
