I bet the 1.6 Ecoboost is going to be the biggest seller in the USA. A well matched unit for everything from fast Focuses to Fusion.

I drive more than 90 miles round trip to work each day. High MPG vehicles are a requirement. But I also want a car that will last for a couple hundred thousand miles...

Yes, but if your car catches fire, fluids leak out unexpectedly, or you stall in the middle of an intersection ... still might not be the best option - FORD 'found-on-road-dead!' The F-150 dominates its class, but the rest -meh!
By 2016, 80 percent of Ford’s planned 8 million vehicles will be based on the five global platforms, and each one stamped out of plastic and assembled by a group of trainees with special needs.

Sure - 40mpg on the "Highway" - e.g. Dyno testing. Never in real life, no matter what Mike Rowe gets those Bimbo's to squeal about in his commercials!

Interesting to see that the Police Interceptor sedan has an EcoBoost engine. Conserving tax dollars through fuel economy.

They've got no choice BUT to make these cars. 2025 with it's 54.5 mpg mandate is really not that far off.

In the Detroit market according to GasBuddy. com-- BP is selling gas for $3.99.9 and Citgo is selling gas for $3.22.9!! A 77 cent difference is criminal and should be investigated by the State Attorney General!! Where are the consumer protection agents when you need them!! What we have is highway robbery by the gas companies in our State!! In the Lansing market , we have most stations close to the $3.59.9 fixed price of July 12th!! in St. Johns , 15 miles North of town Speedway and Admiral are selling gas for $3.22.9!! The high priced stations are gouging the public and still no help for the American consumer! It make me mad as hell when I have to pay 20 or 30 cents more per gallon t o fill up my 2006 truck!! Congress needs to hear the cry of the people and put price and profit controls on all petroleum products!! The entire petroleum industry needs to be Nationalized for the good of our country!

Again, I was forced to buy a Toyota Carolla in 2009 when Ford was lost.
I will see Ford in 2025 when I need another car. They better have their act together then.

The public needs to hear about all the options so they can make their best decisions if they are considering a new car.

That is pretty neat considering Everyone always assumes that Toyota and other Japanese brands are fuel economy leaders, but what is the take rate on those vehicles? I think it is cool that they are still making the Focus ST with 252 HP and it still gets 32 MPG highway!
