My Vehicle has been exceptional despite many of the reviews for my make and model. I plan on keeping my truck until it completely dies which at this point, I foresee at least another 5-7 years. Why get rid of a vehicle that is extremely faithful.

I'll be happy if I can get another 5 years out of my car, which is now 7 years old and has 287k miles on it.

Both of our vehicles are 10 yrs. old. Plan to drive them for at least another 5 yrs., maybe more. New cars are far too expensive. It's like another mortgage and I certainly do not need that. I will definitely buy used again.

My 2002 Dodge Dakota SLT w/V8 engine is paid for & running fine. I will drive it until it officially "dies" & cannot be restored to being operable anymore!

I will keep my 2011 F150 3.7L V6 for as long as I can afford to put gas in it or it becomes a necessity to have a diesel (to tow a camper trailer because traveling the country will be the only way to find work).
Our 2002 Mitsu Galant has <79K miles on it and it runs fine (other than a crack in the dash which appears to be normal for those cars according to posts online). So it may be good for 3-5 more years.

Keep mine as long as it runs good and gets me where I need to go. Why set a year limit, you always will lose money on a new car!

I have another 3 years left on my warranty so after that is probably when I'll trade in my 2005 Magnum for something new.

I'm hoping my 2008 'new' vehicle will last another 4 years before I consider a new vehicle. By that time I will be considering my last vehicle before I hang up my keys and licence for good. I don't want to drive too far into my retirement as there are enough bad drivers out there with out my contribution to the issue.

I strive to get about 15 years out of a new car, but I voted less than a year because my current car is already 13 years old and is developing lots of little problems. I think its age is finally catching up to it.

It's too difficult to predict from week to week how long I will keep the primary vehicle.

Guys, it doesn't matter how old your car is. The question is simply how much longer do you expect to use the vehicle from today.

Well, I just got a new car Wednesday so there's not going to be a new car for at least the next 2 and a half years. I'm thinking I'll have this one for about the next 3 years.

This is a stupid question. My car is already 13 years old and it is a two-owner car, which I bought from my next door neighbor. Will probably sell it within a year while it still has less than 90K miles. :-0

I Voted 3 to 5 because I have had my Car for 6 years. If it was new I would have Voted 5 to 10. This is not a fair Question based on how old your Car is.

My newest vehicle is about 7 years old. We'll be running it at least another 5 years or so. After that, I suspect someone else in the family will drive it.

I put 1 to 3 years, because our goal was to sell it this year to get something a little more economical. But knowing how my wife and I are, I am guessing it will be next year before it happens.

Normally keep vehicles over 10 years; still have a truck orginally purchased in 1979.

Can't believe the amount of people that lease their vehicle. Always having a payment and never owning it ?

I keep them at least 10 years. But normal longer.

But don't you think we should turn in the lease we have on our inept president. He has been a lemon so far.. Lets make him a one term lease ?

This is really hard to say. Hard to commit that kind of money with a chance you might not be able to afford to use it.
